Our Story Featured!! - Thank you Sarah :)

This brings amazingly huge smiles to my face.

Thanks to Sarah over at Life of Love for featuring us on her blog in her weekly series:

Intermet: Online Dating Success Story

I initially found her through my friend Savanah, when she shared her story here.. I thought what a great idea! Posting about success stories online. I love the fact that people are now able to see the good in online dating, and not all the bad. For a while, I was a bit scared to tell people (especially my family) that we had met online. Truth is alot of relationships are now being started online, and some of my very closest friends have met their significant others online too!

I love it! Thank you again Sarah for being such a sweetheart and allowing us to share our story!

Engagement Photos - Uno

I'm loving this design my friend Savanah made for me! I have already ordered a t-shirt (I can't wait to get it) and I'll probably order a few more goodies :) If you need any custom designs, look her up! SavSmilesDesigns on Etsy!

So, yesterday I received my online album of our engagement photos that we took in April.

Besides the few pictures where I have a triple chin, and the ones I should be able to use for my maternity pictures (whenever that day arrives).... I loved them. I don't have access to all of them yet. I requested a few from the photog to order a canvas, and most importantly for our Save the Dates.

I'm only sharing three photos here for now :)  They are definitely my top 3 most favorite of all! Along with the Save the Date one we chose, but that one I'm not revealing yet! Hee hee! Enjoy, these make my heart smile.

On the pitcher's mound with my boys, love it!

Could he be any cuter?! Gosh I love this little pig of ours :)

One of my top favs, I love everything about this, the colors, the background, it just takes my breath away.

I'll definitely share more later!

Love,
Jess

The past, real talk. Part III & Final.

Time passed, as it always will. We argued over the phone, I eventually due to some threats and him removing things from the home, changed the locks. This made him even angrier, but I didn't care. I was broken, angry, confused, and semi-scared. I didn't know what he could be capable of, so I took all necessary means to protect myself. I changed all the codes on the garage & alarm, and installed a little more added protection to my alarm system overall.

The weeks that followed were full of yelling, arguing, crying, depression. It was a ball of mixed emotions. I relied on my family and friends for support, and they provided it. I found myself in church more often, I prayed, and prayed, and prayed. I don't remember much of that time really. I spent it going to work, coming home, taking care Ty and sleeping. I didn't go out, I didn't talk to many people. I just wanted to be alone. Bits and pieces from that time stay with me, while others I can't even remember. I do however remember something very important that stuck with me and still does today. My best friend started going to church with me on Wednesdays. Not only was I praying myself, I was going to prayer partners, and asking them to pray. One Wednesday, after church, my best friend said something to me which at that time, I didn't understand. She said:

"Sometimes the very thing we are asking God to keep together, he may be trying to pull apart"

I heard it, but it didn't register, after all, I was praying for my marriage to be healed. As time passed, with the help of family, I started to realize maybe she was right. Maybe I just needed to listen, and move forward. So I did that. Semi-willingly. I packed all his things, every single items down to a hair comb, and put it out. I told him to come get it. We started our legal proceedings. The months that followed were the most stressful I think I have ever experienced. Between lawyers, money, fighting, not agreeing, it was simply - a mess. It also seemed like things took FOREVER. I wanted it to be done, over, but he didn't respond or he disagreed. Every little thing put us back. I was still living in fear, he made threats constantly. He drove by the house, I never knew what to expect. Who wants to live like that? In the middle of legal litigation and court filings, his attorney filed a motion to remove herself as his attorney due to his conduct. Surprised much? Not one bit. This again now held us up again! He decided after that to represent himself. Such a bright idea - not! You see, I had an attorney, and not just your basic out of the yellow pages attorney. She was the former boss/friend of a friend of mine who usually only takes on high-profile cases, but because I was a friend she took my case. Blonde hair, blue eyes, African woman who fought to the grave for her clients. She of course also came along with a nice pricetag. I didn't care, I wanted her. She asked me for a detailed list of any and everything I wanted. She made me take my time, and think of everything I could possibly think of. We are not just talking material things here, we are talking money, debts, property, etc. Then we sat down together and formulated our request. Due to the fact that he had no legal representation and that fact that he is dumb as shit not the brightest bulb in the pack..... He agreed to the conditions with little to no fuss. The funny part (which wasn't until AFTER the divorce was final, was that he didn't even understand some of the legal jargon or words used) in the decree. As Larry the Cable guy would say, "Here's your sign"

Flash forward - November 18, 2011. We were scheduled to appear before the judge. Since he had already signed the necessary documents, he was told by my attorney that he did not need to be present. Of course, and to no shock of mine, he walked into the courtroom as our case was being called........ with his mom. Nice! I was alone, well, I was with my attorney. When we stepped up to the judge, I found it very comical that the judge said to him "Sir, you already signed the necessary documents, did you feel it most necessary that you appear as well?" He (the judge) just chuckled and then proceeded. 10 mins later, it was DONE. Over, Free, Zip-Zap, Done. (Keep in mind, we were only legally married 2 years - out of those two years, we were only legally married and together under a year)  I stayed with my attorney in the courtroom to give him a chance to leave. This pressure, this stress, this fear that had followed me for the previous year or more was done. It was the biggest relief in the world. I was so happy. I felt like I had won the lottery, when indeed I was flat busted financially struggling due to being alone and having to pay for everything myself, including attorney costs. Not to mention, I was still awaiting her final billing statement.

I will leave you with this. This was November of 2011, I had already met and been dating Danny since September (Yes, I was that girl. Still legally married, and already dating someone else) that is an ENTIRELY whole other story. A happy one at that. He knew everything, every little detail. He supported me whole heartily, and he was the one who dropped and picked me up at court that day. Victory was mine in so many aspects, not just the divorce... and I am a true testimony that God does have bigger plans for you, and he will always sustain you and carry you through any storms. He will move you from any situation that is not intended for you. I owe him all the glory and praise in the world.

Jess

and now.... on to happier posts.....   :)

The past, real talk. Part II.

Where did I leave off? Oh yes, I moved into my new home, with my new husband...I was unhappily happily married, and guess what... no one knew. Again, a feeling that I hated but somehow he convinced me that it would be okay. We started to settle into the new home. I was temporarily semi-distracted with decorating, buying new furniture, getting things unpacked and set up. The feeling of having my own home was amazing, I was so proud of the accomplishment, and I just wanted to make it everything I had ever dreamed of. A few months pass... we are married, own a house, I had been mentioning getting joined accts since now we had a mortgage and bills and everything else that comes with a new home. He refused. Fine. So every month, it was a hassle of pulling money out of one acct, moving to another. Fine.

Again, like I mentioned in my previous post, he worked shift work as a paramedic. 48 hours on, and then the rest of the time he was off. Yes, off completely, at home. I started to mold into my new "wife" position. This meant cleaning the house, doing laundry, cooking dinner, etc. Now, I had never, and he knew this, never had I been a fan of cooking. Now, baking? Whole different story, I love baking, I even have dreams of one day opening my own bakery (whole other story) but cooking, nah. I never really cared much for it. Growing up my mom cooked all the time, I would watch and help from time to time, but I never really cooked myself besides your basic things, like pasta, eggs, etc. So I started trying out recipes. I figured this would be the best way to start. On I went... keep in mind. He hated going anywhere. I mean anywhere, which means I would grocery shop, clothes shop, anything shop. If he needed something he would tell me, and I would go buy it. So when it came time to making dinner, sometimes I wouldn't always have the ingredients I needed. You would think that since he was home 5 days a week, with nothing to do, he could run to the store and pick up the 1 or 2 items I needed right? No. I left the house at 6am every morning. This means I was up by 5am. He would be sleeping, on the couch. He would stay up all night playing video games or watching tv, or buying things off Amazon. I would work a 9-12 hour day (with an hour or more commute) and would still have to stop at the store on my way home to pick up the things I needed. The moment I got home, which would generally be around 6pm. I would rush to change and start dinner. While cooking, I would do laundry, dishes he left in the sink from being home all day, and pick up around the house. To make a long story short, if I cooked 500 meals, he hated 498 of them. Nothing was ever good enough. He would try something, tell me if was awful, and throw his fork down. It crushed me. To me, the food was good. I didn't understand how if I thought it tasted good, he hated it. Moving on.... this happened on the regular. I can't even begin to think of the amount of money thrown away in food that I would cook and he wouldn't eat. Most time I ate it, and then ate for it for lunch the next 2 days to not waste. He would just go out and get fast food.

Laundry. I don't know if it was because he was military, but his uniforms would have to be impeccable. I washed them every week, he wanted his pants starched, and his shirts ironed. I did it. It wasn't good enough. He made me start taking them to the dry cleaners so it would be up to his standards. Horray! Another stop for me on a weekly basis. I had to drop off / pick up his uniforms every week. While he was off 5 days. Then he wanted his jeans the same way. More clothes. More money. I started to see a trend. Anything I did was just never good enough. My cooking was horrible, my ironing was horrible, sometimes I felt like if I breathed wrong, I would be yelled at. One day I got a flat tire on my way to work. It was pouring down holy hell. I was scared, on the side of freeway, and I called "my husband" - I guess in a dream, I thought he would care, and run to my aid or calm me down. NO, instead I got yelled at for waking him up that early, was told to call AAA since that's why we have the service, and was hung up on. Ya'll... seriously.... you know that feeling where you can literally feel your heart drop into your stomach? It was becoming a regular for me. I told no one, I put on a happy face and made it seem like my life was perfect. I vow to myself to never do that again. I will never hide the truth from the people I love.

One year passed, I had told some close friends about my marriage. They were shocked, in disbelieve and angry that I kept that from them. They had every right to be. I started getting worse treatment at home. Most people would count down til the weekend, I would count down til he left for work, because I knew that he would be gone for 48 hours and I could do what I wanted! I could watch TV in the living room! Normally, I was shunned to the bedroom, because he wouldn't watch anything I wanted to watch. It was glorious for those 2 days. But hey, I loved him. Hah!

Then, a new thing started happening. He had always been private, remember I wasn't allowed to touch his phone. He started going out. He would never tell me where, he would say he was going to hang out with a friend. I would stay up, wait for him, make sure he made it home. WHAT AN IDIOT! Eventually I would fall asleep, he wouldn't get home until 3am sometimes. When I asked where and with who he was, he would tell me to mind my own business. I thought that when your married, it is your business?? Guess not. I noticed he would go outside and talk on the phone alot, and text alot. One day, I logged into his account. There it was. This one number all over the place, at all hours of the night. I called it... a woman answered. I hung up. Was this happening? I look back now, and I can't believe how upset I was. I mean this man was awful to me. Why did I care so much? I confronted him about it. He denied it and went into a full fury of anger because I invaded his privacy. It didn't stop here, I logged into his bank acct.(these were things I never did) there I saw charge after charge. Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Carrabas, Perry's, Denny's, Victoria Secret, Motel 6. Yup, it was true. This was happening. Further in my investigations, I found out she worked with him. She was a medic on another crew. I brought it up again. He denied it, and then slammed with me with D word. I thought my life was over. I was broken. I was confused. I did everything for this man, I bent over backwards, I put my life on hold, I pulled away from my friends, I did everything... and he was just dismissing me. I begged, I pleaded, I asked for explanations. I asked for counseling. Nothing. I was blinded. All I wanted to was fix my marriage. I didn't want to be a failure. I didn't know where to turn. No one knew what was going on  in my life. My mom, and best friend had ideas, but I never fully told them much or confirmed any suspicions they had. He left the house.

The next week proceeded as follows, he would come home in the morning, after he knew I was gone to work, and he would leave right before I got home from work. I was alone. I poured my heart and soul out to my mom, and friends. I told them everything... I was crushed. My mom on the other hand, was angry. I didn't know what else to do other than lean on my friends & family... and most importantly, God. I started praying.....

To be continued.....
(sorry , it just takes a toll on me to re-live this, so I can only share in pieces, but it feels good getting it out... and knowing that maybe somehow, someway, I can help someone else through my story)

The past, real talk. Part I.

Everyone has a story, right? Well, no, not everyone, and to be honest growing up and picturing my life, what it would be like, how amazing it would be... I really never thought I would be the one with a "story"

Where am I going with this? I really don't know. I find that even though my past is my past, and it is indeed the past, why does it still creep into my mind? Perhaps because it has made me who I am today, and molded me to be  appreciative of myself, and to know what I'm truly worth.

I never thought the words, "I'm 30, and have already been married, divorced, and now getting married again" would leave my mouth. So yes, I was married. I know people always say, don't regret what you did, because you learn from the experience, and I get that, really I do. BUT I greatly regret the choices I made. I know that I had to make those choices to lead me to where I am today, and I know I had to go through those motions, but there's still a tiny piece of me that wishes I could take it all back. I was 26 when I met my ex, he was a ex-military, good looking, and at that time fooled convinced me into thinking he had great future plans. I say future plans because I never really was the girl who wanted to just "have a good time" I have always known what I wanted, a family, marriage, kids etc. So anytime I would consider dating someone, I made sure that their future looked similar to the things I wanted in mine, why waste someones time? As most relationships are, the beginning was great. He treated me wonderfully, we were smitten, getting to know each other, spending time together, etc. He had introduced me to his family, which was just another plus for him, because they were so loving & welcoming, and truly good people. I was still living at home at the time, and he was living with his sister in Pearland, clear across the city from where I was, in Katy. As our relationship progressed, he started bringing up the subject of moving in together. I was hesitant, after all, I had never lived with a man, and to be honest, I was quite comfortable at home with my family. As foolish as I could be, this was the first of so many mistakes I would make. I let him convince me that it was a good idea, we ended up getting an apartment together on my side of town. I told him this was the only way I would even consider it. Again, the beginnings and moving in where all dandy and fun... but slowly...as more time passed, things started to slightly come to light change. We all know that living with someone is far more different than just dating someone and living apart. I was slowly beginning to un-ravel things about him that I never knew.

One, being his temper. He had a short fuse, any little thing would take him overboard. It was like a switch. He blamed alot of his anger to PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) from the military. I believed him.

Moving on... Two, his lack of finishing anything he ever started. He would start something, ANYTHING, and would never finish it. Everything from a simple at home project to school, to promises. It was always started but never finished. This upset me, because in my mind, it was a sign of the future and his unwillingness or lack of motivation to better himself.

Three, his private-ness. I was never allowed to even lay a finger on his phone. If I did, I was instantly wrong, and accusing him of something (red flag anyone?) He kept a passcode on it, which I obviously knew anyway because he is stupid not smart and would use the same thing he used for other things. I still never really bothered to touch his phone.

Four, his lack of affection. In the beginning he did tell me that he wasn't the most affectionate guy, lovey dovey type, and I was ok with that, but I had no idea that would mean that he wouldn't even sleep in the same bed as me. Most night he slept on the couch. He claimed that it was more comfortable for him, and that he was used to that because of his line of work. He was a paramedic who worked shift work. Again, I accepted it. As I'm typing this I realize my list is rather long, and I could go on & on.

Sometimes, we just need to vent. Even if we've vented in the past, sometimes we need to again. Again...we continued on...and obviously the big huge red flags that were pretty much slapping me in the face repeatedly never were enough. I still wanted that "vision" - I saw all my friends getting married, buying houses, starting families... and I wanted it too. So I was blinded, stupid, and rushed things. I wanted a traditional marriage, in a church, surrounded by family & friends. I wanted the white dress, the big celebration....He wanted a JOP wedding, with no attention, and said we could have a big party later. In fact, he didn't even want me to tell anyone that we were gonna get married or that we ended up getting married. He claimed we could tell them "later" My mom knew, his mom knew. I remember to this day, sitting in the courthouse, my mom besides me, she grabbed my hand and said "Baby, you know you don't have to do this. You can buy a house, and do what you want and you don't have to "be married" - I heard her...but I didn't listen. We got married. I wasn't able to tell anyone, I didn't have a ring (engagement) I had purchased our bands on my own, without him there. We bought a house, moved, and so there I started my married life, although no one even knew.....

To be continued.....

Marriage Prep Class....

So yesterday was our second visit with our deacon (Deacon Robertson) at our church. My initial thoughts about this whole marriage prep thing was kinda frustrating. I mean, we need to go before the church, prove we are ready to be married, go through 6 months of marriage prep, 5 visits with a sponsor couple, and 2 family planning classes. That's alot!

Our first meeting was last Monday at 7:30pm. I really didn't know what to expect. I figured we would kinda chat & talk with the deacon briefly and he would schedule us for our classes, etc. Well, to some extent I was right. We did talk - ALOT. He asked us both together how we met, what we liked about each other, what we didn't like about each other, what made us want to take the next step, what made us attracted to each other, what goals do we share, what goals do we not share. Talk about question central. We also met individually with the deacon for one on one talks again touching on some of the questions we were asked together. At the end, we were given the Focus test, which consisted of about 200 questions on every topic from Financial to Communication to Sexuality. Yep... I was totally not ready for that. I'm not saying that it was hard by any means, I just didn't anticipate on being at the church for over 2 hours, taking a test, and being questioned over & over about our relationship. All in all, it went okay, we left after 9:30pm and at that point all we could think about was food, lol. So we picked up something quick & headed home.

Last night was our second meeting with Deacon Robertson. Same time, 7:30pm. We started out by talking again, Deacon made a list for me & Danny and asked us questions regarding our commitments to certain things. For example, the first one was how long was the longest we had spent at any particular job. Others were silly, like how long we have been baseball fans, how long we lived in certain places, etc. It was a fun little exercise, just to show a pattern or to see differences in each other in the field of commitment. We all already know that I blew Danny out of the water with the commitment times - LOL Afterwards we went over our test results from the Focus text we had taken the previous week. I was very pleased, overall we scored 81% compatible. Each section was graded individually but this was overall. I was also very happy to hear that we scored 100% on the section regarding the holy covenant of marriage. Deacon told us that its rare for couples to score 100% on this part so he was very pleased with our results. I love that the most important area for me, was also the most important for Danny. Like all couples, the areas where we differed a bit where around career, and communication. Things that were not a surprise to me, had they been a surprise or things I didn't know then maybe, just maybe I would be concerned.....but nope. We both already knew this. Towards the end, we were each given workbooks that we will be using together with our sponsor couple, and information to sign up for the family prep classes.

I wanted to write this post because it really made me kind of rethink this whole process. I looked at this whole thing initially as something we just needed to get out of the way. Yes, I do think its a little much, I mean we have to go through 6 months of this... but on the other hand, I like being able to spend time with Danny in church, alongside the Deacon and talking about us. Us in general, what we like, what we don't like. What we want in the future, how we will work through changes, and differences. I believe that every couple should go through some form of prep. Yes, most of the things are things we already know, but it does feel good to get them out. So while it isn't the highlight of my week, I do now look forward to our classes :)

He asked & I said YES! - Part 2

So a few weeks back, Danny's aunt & uncle (who have turned out to be my favorites by far) handed me a memory card and said, "There might be some pictures on here you want" I came home & popped it in. They were right, my smile went ear to ear as I scrolled through pictures which made me once again re-live that special moment when Danny popped the question!

My original post HERE had one picture my friend made me on her phone and a link to the video! Yes, video, apparently the WHOLE world except me knew this was occurring, and I was so blessed to have it recorded!

So here are a few pictures taken that night, I will add this: Looking back on that night, certain parts & that very moment are a blur, I was so shocked, overwhelmed and happy. These pictures truly show me the joy & love of the people who surround us. Enjoy!

He gets on the mic saying he has an announcement to make......

All the sudden, I feel eyes start to stare at me & I'm wondering... "What is going on here?"

Looks over at me & says "I just wanna ask you a question...." (you know what's next - lol)

Pure shock....

He looks more shocked than me, lol          ///           SHE SAID YESSSS!

Thankful Tuesday

So yesterday on my way home I made a quick stop to pick up a few things we needed at home. Of course, the minute I got home I realized I had forgotten some other things, isn't that the way life goes? Anyway, that stop led me to write this post today.

While in the store, I stopped in aisle to read some labels (yes, I read labels) while I stood there, I overheard a girl talking negatively towards her mother. I sat in disgust trying to act like I was reading this label, but my ears just couldn't believe the things she was saying. Granted, I don't know these people, I have no idea what their home is like or what they have been through, but, sometimes (just sometimes) you can look at someone and just know that they are good people. I glanced over at the mom very briefly, she looked tired, worn out, and sad. I felt for her. She just let her daughter talk to her in the most disrespectful tone, and undermine her. The jest of the situation I caught was this, I saw the woman walk into my aisle (bread aisle) alone, she was looking for bread, and a few minutes later the daughter came up with what appeared to be makeup in her hand. She demanded that her mom purchase the items for her, the mom very nicely said, "sweetie, I only have $50 and we need some groceries, I will buy you that makeup when I get my next paycheck" I'm not even going to write what the girl responded. Let's just say it was harsh, involved curse words, and made her look like such an ungrateful brat! Yes, I said it, BRAT! It personally took everything I had inside for me not to run over there, grab her arm and say "Don't talk to your momma like that!!" I could tell by the items in her cart, that she indeed probably only had $50, let's just say she wasn't purchasing anything "gluten-free" or organically grown....real talk.

As I walked away, it made me think of my mom. I know each of us can all say "I have the best mom" and truth is, you do. My mom is one of my true hero's & she is absolutely beautiful. (literally)

I have so much respect & love for her. Growing up, the older I get, the more I see these things. The more I realize what she went through to raise my sister & I. You see, our biological father walked out on us, weeks after my sister was born. My mom was left alone (better off than being with that deadbeat) but still being alone with two kids, and one being a newborn. I still sit back and wonder how she did everything she did. She worked full time, overtime, she provided for us, she nurtured & loved us, we always had packed lunches, clean folded clothes, a clean home, good food on the table. She always made it look so easy, and we never went without. No holiday ever passed without gifts, but as a child you seem to expect those things, rather than appreciate them. Now that I'm an adult myself, I still wonder how she did it. Granted, we don't have kids yet, but sometimes I find its hard enough just to work a full time job, keep the house clean, put dinner on the table, and even start a load of laundry. She did it, alone, and never once did I hear her complain. If we wanted something in the store, she got it for us. I know now that she sacrificed alot. She bought herself nothing so we could have everything. She worked hard to take care of us, and to this very day, not one thing has changed. My mom is incredible. I feel like there aren't enough words in the world for me to tell her how much I love her, and how much I appreciate her. To this day, she will do anything for my sister & I, (and now Sofia) even if it means she goes without. I am thankful that she has found a man who makes her happy and spoils her the way she should be spoiled. I am thankful that she is here today, and still puts us first before anything else. No matter how rough times got for me, I still would always run home to my mommy, and she would still at the age of 30 years old, cradle me in her arms like her baby.

Mom with Sofia on the day she was born

I could go on & on, but I won't. All I will say is this, your mother is your mother. She brought you into this world. You cannot choose your mom. Hug your mom, tell her you love her, tell her you appreciate her.

Weekend recap one day late....

Who doesn't love a 3 day weekend? I must say, it was nice.... yesterday I returned to work, my co-worker/partner had taken a vacation day so needless to say, I was SWAMPED. I felt like phones would not stop ringing and everyone I spoke to wanted to complain about something.

Moving on... so this weekend was definitely filled with fun & exciting things! Friday, I was off! I started out my day at Bora Bora Nail Salon getting a refresher manicure and classic pedicure (recommended to me by a fellow blogger) oooo, talk about amazing. It was so relaxing, seriously I already want to go back, but my nails obviously still look good. After getting my nails done, I walked into Freebirds next door grabbed a bite to eat and then headed to Memorial City Mall to browse around. I scored on some new summer sandals, you can never have enough really! AND I purchased my very first gift for my bridesmaids!! Winning!

After the mall, I headed toward the Galleria to pick up my best friend, we had an appointment with the florist at 3:30! Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of a zillion flowers everywhere, yes, I love flowers, what girl doesn't? I just can't justify spending ridiculous amounts of money on flowers for a 5 hour event, which will later die. Anyway... that being said I'm super excited to see what they create for me! I'm pretty much sticking to flowers for my girls, guys, fam, and maybe centerpieces.......maybe! I feel really confident in them, and the fact they are they SUPER nice is such a perk, they seriously listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, and are helping me get everything I want for the budget I have! Flowers by Minerva, in Bellaire......Need flowers? Look them up, you will not be disappointed! As a thank you, they even gave me some flowers to take home! LOVE!

After the florist, we headed over to our appointment at Ventura's to try on dresses! I was going to post some photos, BUT I have decided to wait until we order the dresses, and they come in .... the ones we tried were all colors of the rainbow, but overall it seems like almost everyone found a dress they liked, which was great, I just have to go back with my sister now for her to try on a few... she couldn't make it that day, so we'll be back once again!

And last! After we finished up at Venturas, we headed up to meet our men :)  (Yes, we are still on Friday here) We met up with them at the Astros game! Club seats? Don't mind if we do.... the game was a blast, we had a great time & ALMOST made it on the big screen! Short but funny story, we we got to the game, we found a family of 4 in our seats (our guys weren't there yet) when we told them they were in our seats, the "mom" I would guess asked us if we could sit somewhere else because their tickets were apart, and they wanted to sit together?!#@? Uhh, newsflash, WE WANT TO SIT TOGETHER TOO, IN OUR SEATS! Sooooo, Adriana tells them, we'll sit here behind you, but if someone comes and we're in their seats, you guys will have to move.We eventually moved up to some better seats, and we enjoyed the game from there, however the camera guy totally recorded where our REAL seats were, and those people made in on the big screen, suckers.

Saturday was a good day, Danny was actually off from work, so we were able to spend the entire day together, I love hanging out with him. We ran alot of errands, I got an alignment on Nena, we went shopping and picked up some Easter treats for the kiddos, and then went home and relaxed together! Love snuggling up on the couch and catching up on DVR!

Sunday was Easter of course! We went to the 2pm mass, and afterwards headed up to Spring to meet the family for Easter dinner. We stayed for a short time, ate, talked and headed home a littler earlier than usual. We were both tired, and just wanted to get home, and rest up and prepare for the week. I was happy we got to see our sweet Sofia, and family for that short bit!

Easter baskets I made for the kiddos :D Can you tell which one is Sofia's? lol
My little bunny wearing the bib we gave her in her basket.
I had these bloomers made for her before she even was born!

I love that little bunny!

Love,
Jess

PS Danny's uncle gave me his memory card which I found out held MANY pics from Christmas and NYE! And for those of you that don't know, NYE is when Danny proposed! I will be uploading those this week to share! Woooo!
